Pale with a slight green hue, yet brilliantly bright.

Lifted sub regional flavours including lemon grass, lime zest and tropical tangy notes.

Refreshing with crisp, mineral acidity. Restrained herb and gooseberry fruits partner citrus notes. Subtle partial French oak treatment adds weight and complexity to the palate

This is a wine we recommend drinking 12-15 months from release date (31st May 2017)

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
The 19.62 tonnes of Sauvignon Blanc harvested this year was a 5% increase on the long term average. Bunches were 3% heavier than usual, while berries were 2% smaller than usual. The Sauvignon Blanc began to ripen on the 29th of January (about 7 days later than is usual for this variety) and harvest commenced 39 days later. This exactly matches the long term average ripening period for Rosily Sauvignon which shows that the classic Willyabrup ripening process was enjoyed despite the later than usual start.
Winemaker Notes
Hand harvested, then crushed, destemmed and chilled before pressing. Only free run juice and light pressings retained for Rosily wine; medium and heavy pressings removed. Oak treatment: 10% Barrel matured for 2 months in French Oak (100% new)
Average Production (over 18 years) – 950 cases. 2017 Production – 909 cases
