The total production of this wine represents 5% of the total Cabernet Sauvignon harvest from 2020. After 23 vintages we have a strong understanding as to where the best fruit from our 3628 Cabernet Sauvignon vines consistently is sourced. This area of leaner, gravelly soils at the highest elevation point of the vineyard produces fruit with extra varietal dimension and weight, which can handle further oak treatment. Vines in this portion of the block were hand pruned by our full-time vineyard manager, who also personally carried out the necessary canopy management, and hand leaf plucked and bunch thinned vines as individually required.
